Rough-In Inspection Request

  1. The temporary address must be posted at the driveway and on the house

  2. The approved sprinkler plans and calculations must be on site

  3. Any construction changes must be red-lined on the plans

  4. The hydrostatic test must have been witnessed prior to arrival

  5. A Certificate of Test must be provided to NCFD at time of inspection

  6. Building permit must be on site

If these items are not completed, we ask that you wait to schedule the final inspection until all the requirements for you project are met. If an inspection fails to pass, a $190 re-inspection fee will be assessed.

Final/Sprinkler Inspection Request

  1. The permanent address must be posted at the driveway (both directions of travel, at least 4’’ minimum) and on the house (3 1/2’’ minimum and contrasting color)

  2. The driveway/roadway must be complete

  3. Approved sprinkler plans and calculations must be on site

  4. Approved construction plans must be on site

  5. Any construction changes must be red-lined on the plans

  6. Building permit must be on site

  7. A sprinkler system representative, the general contractor, and the owner must be on site during final

  8. All excess vegetation must be cleared around all structures (30’ minimum) as outlined in the defensible space standard. This includes, but is not only limited to, landscaping, tree limbs, brush, etc.

If these items are not completed, we ask that you wait to schedule the final inspection until all the requirements for you project are met. If an inspection fails to pass, a $190 re-inspection fee will be assessed.

LE-100/Photo-Voltaic Inspection Request

  1. Permanent address must be posted at the driveway (both directions of travel, at least 4” minimum) and on the house (3 1/2” minimum and constrasting color)

  2. The building permit must be on site

  3. The general contractor (for solar) and the owner (for 3600) must be on site during final

  4. All excess vegetation must be cleared around all structures (30’ minimum) as outlined in the defensible space standard. This includes, but is not only limited to, landscaping, tree limbs, brush, etc.

If these items are not completed, we ask that you wait to schedule the final inspection until all the requirements for you project are met. If an inspection fails to pass, a $190 re-inspection fee will be assessed.

Knox Box

Purpose: To allow fire district emergency response personnel access to buildings or areas when access is unduly difficult. To eliminate the need to stock and inventory, numerous keys to private locks throughout the fire district. To eliminate damage to private property caused by the use of forcible entry by fire district personnel.
