The burn ban has been lifted by CAL FIRE. All normal burn rules and regulations are back in affect.
The back yard burn season is December 1, 2011-April 30, 2012. Burn permits are now available.
The 2011 residential burn season will begin on December 1, 2011. Residents having a valid burn permit will be allowed to burn the natural product (brush, tree limbs, weeds, etc.) from their property on permissible burn days. It is the mission of the North County Fire Protection District of Monterey County to provide the highest level of service to protect the lives, property, and the environment of the North County community, by providing prompt and professional services in the event of fire, medical emergency, rescue, environmental disaster or any other event which threatens the public welfare.
